July 10th meeting: How do you have fun?

June 27, 2013

The the middle hour we shared how we have fun; what were the things we do that we wanted to do rather than had to do. That is what gives meaning to our lives. Living! There was a variety of perspectives. It is clear that those on the spectrum tend to focus their time on fun things if they are not stressed or depressed. Matt Gallagher had the opposite tendency of having too much fun and found that to get the essential tasks or chores done he had to switch between fun thing and chores every 15 minutes just to keep focused. However for some of us, the fun things in time can take over our life and become our work, our addiction, or a pass time that we may just take too seriously that we no longer enjoy. One of the members reminded us that the most enjoyable experience is people and relationships, not games or computers; not things. Relationships and people are difficult for us.

  • So be careful what you wish for.
  • Your wishes will come true.
  • Wish for the right thing: People!
